>How to find Active Connections to the SQL Server

>sometimes we need to know how many users connected to the system !

here is some useful code samples

— count active connections @ depomatik database
select COUNT(*) AS Active_Connections
from master.dbo.sysprocesses p
join master.dbo.sysdatabases d on p.dbID = d.dbID
where d.name = ‘depomatik’

— count executed_connections to the SQL Server
SELECT count(*) AS executed_connections FROM sys.dm_exec_connections

— show session_id’s and connection_time’s
SELECT * FROM sys.dm_exec_connections
